Of course, Phil Robertson did not see any angry blacks in Louisiana before civil rights. What black person would complain to a white about treatment in the days of lynching… how convenient for conservatives to ignore this. He is just an authority on what he chooses to remember from a long time ago. I prefer to recognize the remberances of my grandparents, who are his age, to tell me what life was actually like for blacks in Louisiana pre-civil rights. Who do you think will have a more accurate memory of those times, those who suffered or those trying not to remember how their own attitudes conflicted with the holy bible they so fervently claim to revere. If we want to talk about sinners, and we want to debate homosexuality, then we should also debate exactly where people like Phil Robertson was and what he was doing during that time of oppression. I have a hard time believing that there were very many neutral parties. So as a Christian man, I would love to know how he helped his fellow man during those horrible times.
